All Systems Red by Martha Wells
I needed to begin with the reigning monarch of sci-fi novellas: Murderbot. This has received the largest awards in SFF, together with the Hugo, Nebula, and Locus. All Systems Red is the first e book in the collection, and it follows a safety android who has reprogramed themselves and principally simply desires to be left alone to look at TV — relatable. Unfortunately, Murderbot retains getting pulled into human conflicts, and now they’re reluctantly looking for out what went mistaken in a neighboring mission.
