West Ham United are nearing an agreement with Ajax for the signing of Mohammed Kudus, 90min understands.
The Hammers have already had two bids turned down by Ajax, the newest of which was value €40m (£34m) plus add-ons.
But the necessity for West Ham to signal high quality attacking reinforcements has seen the membership proceed negotiations with Ajax, with supervisor David Moyes and technical director Tim Steidten each pushing for Kudus to make the transfer to London Stadium.
Sources have confirmed to 90min {that a} third provide has been lodged with Ajax, who did agree a charge with Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this summer time just for Kudus to put the brakes on a transfer, value €41m initially plus €3m in add-ons (£35m + £2.5m).
There’s a perception that Ajax will settle for the provide, having countered West Ham’s final bid with a €50m proposal, with a key issue being the Conference League winners’ willingness to alter the cost phrases of the deal.
