Following their huge grunge anthem “Take Shape,” which featured the Smashing Pumpkins luminary Billy Corgan, Code Orange are again with one other unpredictable monitor known as “Mirror.”
The Pittsburgh band’s newest providing from their forthcoming album, The Above (out Sept. 29), is one of the largest left turns they’ve ever taken; a moody, elastic trip-hop monitor with mournful strings, delicate piano, and a blowout vocal efficiency from Reba Meyers that’s by far essentially the most tuneful hook Code Orange have ever delivered.

“This song has a special place in my heart,” Meyers says. “To me, it’s the climax of this style of my writing in this band thus far. Take a look in the mirror, are you bored?”
