Tyler defined that being molested as a child later “created this hypersexuality” in him as a teen and led to different traumatic conditions – together with him and Catelynn getting pregnant at 17 after which placing their daughter Carly up for adoption. And now, he’s discovered by remedy he must let the “guilt and shame” go:
“A big thing for me was letting that go. It’s not the kid’s fault.”
When Catelynn identified how a lot stigma there’s surrounding males talking out about sexual trauma, Dr. Drew requested her if she was ever abused as a younger youngster too. And for the primary ever on digital camera, the 31-year-old shared that she had been too:
“[I was] probably like, 7 or 8 [years old]. That’s the first time [I] ever [said] it on camera. I’m 31 and I … never told my parents about it until recently. [I told my dad] and my mom.”
However, Catelynn’s household didn’t take the information effectively in any respect. Dr. Drew questioned whether or not her revelation was what triggered her mother, April Brockmiller, to drink once more. But the truth star rapidly shut the declare down, stating that her mom had a horrible response to it:
“No, her response to me was — she said that I sounded dumb as f**k. And then she called me on the phone and she was wasted.”
What the precise f**okay. It doesn’t matter how rocky their relationships have been through the years that was a merciless and heartless response to somebody’s sexual abuse story. Coming ahead about these traumatic experiences is already exhausting sufficient, so we can not think about the added ache Catelynn should have felt from her mother’s response.
And it sadly will get worse from right here. The MTV character then revealed April “got a tattoo of the word ‘toxic’ on her body for me, because I call her toxic.” So, so terrible.
