Burt Young, Paulie of the ‘Rocky’ Movies, Dies at 83

Few movie franchises have made an affect on generations of audiences like Rocky. And for many of that franchise, the man by underdog boxer Rocky Balboa’s aspect was Paulie, the surly brother of Rocky’s one real love Adrian. The man who made Paulie lovable, regardless of all of his infinite flaws and issues, was actor Burt Young, who constructed a complete profession embodying these types of sophisticated, flawed, but undeniably sympathetic males in a long time of movie and TV appearances.

Sadly, Young handed away on October 8. His loss of life was confirmed by his daughter to The New York Times. Young was 83 years.
