Khloé Kardashian is taking warmth for her nostalgic Halloween costume!
On Tuesday, The Kardashians star confirmed off her search for this spooky season — and it seems it actually DID spook a ton of her followers! But not for why you may suppose!
This yr, the truth star went as a Bratz doll, carrying a yellow patterned mini gown with a white shirt beneath and carrying an identical purse that includes the model’s emblem. Unfortunately, it wasn’t her costume that had followers spooked! It was the obvious shade of her pores and skin!

Many followers are actually calling her out for “blackfishing”– a time period used to explain individuals who use make-up, extreme tanning, or different means to look Black or blended race — after noticing her pores and skin shade appeared “ten times darker” than regular. Oof. Dozens of critics slid into her IG feedback, complaining:
“Why is she three shades darker than usual?”
“Black fishing periodddd”
“You were black for Halloween?

Meanwhile, there have been some followers sticking up for the Good American founder, reminding of us it’s “literally a costume.” But, um, is that actually an excuse for “blackfishing”?!? We don’t suppose so!

Interestingly, the 39-year-old was really a part of a bunch costume with Kim Kardashian and associates Olivia Pierson and Natalie Halcro, and none of them are receiving backlash. Still, it shouldn’t actually be too shocking that some followers weren’t going to like the Bratz costumes since Kylie Jenner was completely roasted for “blackfishing” again in August when asserting her new limited-edition Bratz doll assortment, with followers saying on the time:
“The fact that the Kylie Bratz dolls are brown are weird asf. That girl is white asf.”
“Giving Kylie (a white woman who modeled her face/body around Black women) her own Bratz doll (which is an arguably more Urban/Black presenting doll) before an ACTUAL Black woman is… weird”
