Crystal Dynamics and Aspyr’s Tomb Raider 1 – 3 Remastered is scheduled to come back out tomorrow, February 14, 2024. Ahead of the sport launch, Crystal Dynamics issued a content material warning stating that the sport has racial and ethnic stereotypes.
In an announcement to IGN, Crystal Dynamics defined that it determined to maintain these stereotypes within the remastered recreation in “hopes that we may acknowledge its harmful impact and learn from it.” The full assertion reads:
“The games in this collection contain offensive depictions of people and cultures rooted in racial and ethnic prejudices. These stereotypes are deeply harmful, inexcusable, and do not align with our values at Crystal Dynamics.
“Rather than eradicating this content material, we’ve chosen to current it right here in its authentic type, unaltered, within the hopes that we could acknowledge its dangerous affect and study from it.”
Tomb Raider 1 – 3 Remastered will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. For extra gaming information, try our story detailing the solid of Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth.
