It’s arduous to consider it has been 20 years since Colin Farrell’s Phone Booth was launched. It’s a tense, one-location thriller that faucets into the worry of being alone in public and the helplessness of manipulation and self-sabotage. A slimy man dishonest on his girlfriend is pressured to disclose himself for who he is whereas below the scope of a shooter. It’s easy and effective. The movie is underrated, in my view.
The movie’s actual genius is that after the preliminary shock of the shooter and the specter of dying at any second, the worry that scares Farrell’s character probably the most is bearing himself to the individuals he cares about. The worry of being uncovered as a liar and a cheat trump the worry of dying. It’s intelligent and a number of enjoyable.
