James Gunn and Peter Safran are the brand new heads of DC’s movie, tv and animation efforts at Warner Bros. Discovery.
The Hollywood Reporter has formally introduced that James Gunn and Peter Safran have been named co-chairs and co-CEOs of DC Studios, which is changing the DC Films division at Warner Bros. Discovery. According to THR, Gunn and Safran’s hiring turns into efficient on November 1st. The two have signed a four-year deal that makes Gunn unique to DC Studios, which means that his Marvel days are actually behind him.
Under their new roles at DC Studios, James Gunn and Peter Safran will likely be reporting on to Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav. The two may even work intently with Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, the co-chairs and CEOs of Warner Bros. Film Group.

Both James Gunn and Peter Safran have a detailed relationship with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. Gunn developed The Suicide Squad and its HBO Max spin-off collection Peacemaker whereas Safran is the producer behind the Aquaman and Shazam! motion pictures.
