As introduced in a web based bulletin, submissions for the annual Cartoonist Studio Prize are now open! The 2023 Cartoonist Studio Prize will likely be awarded to work that exemplifies excellence in cartooning. Presented by The Schulz Library Staff at The Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) and The Beat, the award comes with a $1,000 prize for the winner in every the “print comics” and “web comics” classes. Submissions in every class have to be obtained by January 30th, 2023.
How to Submit
Publishers or creators could submit a piece for consideration in the “print comics” class by finishing this manner and sending a bodily copy of the ebook to the mailing deal with included on the type. Eligible print comics are those who had been written in (or translated into) English and printed between the dates of January 1st and December 31st, 2022.
Meanwhile, comics could also be submitted in the net comics class by clicking this hyperlink and filling out the type. Eligible net comics can have been written in or translated into English and printed on-line between the dates of January 1st and December 31st, 2022.
Finalists in each classes will likely be introduced in April 2023, and the respective successful comics will likely be introduced shortly thereafter.
Please be aware that no creator could submit a couple of work in both of the classes. Further, remember that each school and college students who are at present enrolled at CCS are not eligible for entry.
