HBO’s adaptation of the favored online game franchise on Sunday evening premiered to 4.7 million complete viewers (throughout linear and HBO Max platforms in the U.S.), marking the pay cabler’s second-best collection launch since Boardwalk Empire drew north of 7 million again in September 2010. (And in this age of streaming/HBO Max, the Sunday evening viewership for an HBO collection sometimes represents simply 20 to 40 p.c of the full gross viewers per episode.)
(Somewhat present referred to as House of the Dragon, when you want reminding, arrived final August as HBO’s very greatest collection launch ever, amassing simply shy of 10 million viewers with its personal premiere evening.)
