New Amsterdam‘s very final episode kicked off with a surprise announcement: Max was leaving the hospital to go work for the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. The big move was part of his plan to devote more time to his daughter Luna, which must have worked out, because in the show’s closing scene, New Amsterdam’s new medical director addressed her workers and revealed that she’s Luna, who’s all grown up and in cost and performed by Molly Griggs (Servant, Prodigal Son) sooner or later!
Back within the current day timeline, Max’s determination to tackle the brand new job put an abrupt finish to his relationship with Elizabeth Wilder. But Max was dedicated to creating Luna the middle of his life, even when it meant forsaking all of the issues he loves, he instructed Elizabeth. While handing her the keys to New Amsterdam, he reassured her that if he does come again, it gained’t be for the hospital. But technically, he is single, so does that imply there’s hope for #Sharpwin? (More on that under.)
Elsewhere within the collection ender, Iggy and Martin acquired remarried in a small family-only ceremony officiated by Gladys; Vanessa reached out to Lauren at an NA assembly; and Floyd appeared to have lastly satisfied a girl he loves to remain in New York.
