“I Was Rejected, Ridiculed, Almost Gave up On Acting”

Nollywood actor, Lateef Adedimeji, has mirrored on his days of humble beginnings. He revealed that he was rejected, ridiculed and virtually gave up performing.

Taking to his Instagram web page, Lateef acknowledged that on the onset of his profession, many individuals instructed him that performing just isn’t his calling and he would by no means achieve success by way of performing.

According to him he typically trekked to film location, washed his bosses vehicles in trade for film roles, and borrowed garments to put on on film set.

He added that he felt fulfilled when he began getting paid stipends for enjoying lead characters in film. However his story is totally different now as he’s profitable and making it large within the film trade.

Adedimeji wrote partly,

“Memories of the a number of occasions I acquired rejected, insulted, Ridiculed and bullied that ACTING just isn’t my profession path and that I’ll by no means make it on this subject that I select.

‘’I bear in mind the occasions I virtually gave up on myself and the profession; I bear in mind crying endlessly and instructed myself it’s higher to die. Memories of the occasions I walked hours to get on set and rehearsals just because I had no tfare. I bear in mind once I needed to be a digicam boy, Wash Oga’s Cars.

“Then the times i finally started getting paid 1k, 2k, 5k for a lead role, I remember receiving the payments with so much joy, happiness and gratitude. This journey of mine from being just a little boy with big dreams to becoming the Superstar that I am today has come with a lot of challenges and Stories untold. I’ll tell the whole story someday to inspire one or two.”
