Sam Neill has a message for scammers – he is had sufficient.
Posting on his official, verified Instagram account, on behalf of Neill, his assistant Lauren Folk Major shared a photograph of the numerous Sam Neill impersonator accounts that exist on Instagram alone.
The picture was lined with the phrase “Warning!” in pink, daring letters.
In the caption, Major wrote: “The ONLY real Sam Neill account is this one – with the blue verified tick (circled in the image). Sam will never contact you on social media from an unverified account !!”

She continued, “That’ll be a scammer ‼️He will never write to you to ask you to continue the conversation on another platform (WhatsApp/Telegram/Hangouts etc). ‼️… Sam will never use social media to ask you for bitcoin, money to get out of a foreign jail or for you to send a Western Union transfer to attend a private event with him. ‼️ Definitely a scammer.‼️”
In one curious part, she famous, “He won’t be trying to send you a diamond ring from Sri Lanka (that you then need to pay customs fees for) ‼️That scammer is at it again.‼️”
Major additionally debunked the parable that the Jurassic Park star, 75, has a “private account he keeps secret from his social media team”, nor does he have a “social media management team” that connects with followers on-line by means of random accounts.

Major went on to disclose how excessive the difficulty has gotten for the star and his followers.

“Since the transfer all my emails have bounced back, could you please “nudge” Mr. Neil, as economically I have already budgeted for the rest of my year with these two film roles in mind i.e I sleep in my car or an ikea if I can.”
Meantime many followers confirmed that scammers had been actually concentrating on them.
“Apparently Sam & Keanu Reeves wanted to private message with me…if only,” one wrote on the put up.
“Have been contacted by every fake Sam on earth. At least once,” one other shared. “Apart from third-language spelling, some are hilariously wrong. Occasionally I can’t resist asking the odd question before reporting them.”
