Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch has had such a cool character arc all through the MCU, beginning with a post-credits scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, along with her story filling out in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and bringing us by the movies all the best way to Disney+’s Marvel kickoff, and among the finest MCU collection, WandaImaginative and prescient. Then we actually received to see what the Scarlet Witch might do in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, when Wanda turned full-on unhealthy man and fought to get her parallel universe children again, irrespective of the fee.
That brings us up to the place we left off with the character, on the finish of Multiverse of Madness, the place she was defeated by Strange, backing down in the belief that she didn’t need to be the villain she had grow to be. So the place can we go from right here with Wanda? What does her future entail? If Elizabeth Olsen has something to say about it, she can be again, and Wanda can have a redemptive storyline, possibly even with some humor added in.
In a current interview with ScreenRant on the SXSW movie pageant, Olsen defined her hopes for the character, saying:
“We can do anything with her now! I feel like we’ve done so much. Now, we can really have fun; I feel like there’s a lot more humor to be had with her. She’s often the emotion of a story, and I’m curious to see what we can explore. And hopefully [we can] give her some redemption.”
I actually hope to see her character redeemed as nicely. It could be wonderful to give her some peace and pleasure in spite of everything she’s been by. She’s misplaced her brother, her love, her children, all of them seemingly a number of instances! I hope we will see her completely happy once more.
Where would you want to see Wanda Maximoff find yourself in the upcoming MCU tales?
