Beanie Sigel has cleared up rumors that he as soon as snapped a CD in half containing Peedi Crakk‘s “One For Peedi Crakk” because it contained a Cam’ron verse.
Speaking to DJ Vlad, Sigel was requested about JAY-Z and Cam’s relationship along with the rumored CD-breaking incident, which the Broad Street Bully denied taking place within the style Peedi Crakk beforehand claimed it did.
“I don’t know if it went down like that. Crakk [is] crazy, man. I think I heard that story though. It ain’t go down like that’s how it was,” he defined.
Vlad then pressed him about there being static between Hov and Cam’ron. “Yeah, but that wasn’t our business though,” Beans mentioned. “That’s when it was fucked up.”
Vlad continued to harp on his assumption that Jay didn’t need Cam on “One For Peedi Crakk” and had him taken off the document.
“I’ma say this, Jay didn’t want that CD to get leaked and I’m gonna leave it alone. It wasn’t that I took it and broke it and all,” Beans defined. “Because I already know the relationship that Peedie had. We really bang with them to the point we in the studio and Crakk disappear.”
However, Beanie Sigel did admit that the static between Jay and Cam stopped a number of potential crossover hits between Roc-A-Fella and Dipset from ever occurring.
“Whatever they had funny, that stopped a lot of records being made and all that,” he added.
“One For Peedi Crakk” served as Peedi Crakk’s Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam debut single in 2002 and featured Beanie, Young Chris and Freeway. The Megahertz-produced monitor landed on the Paid In Full soundtrack and reached No. 33 on the Billboard Hot Hip Hop/R&B Singles Sales chart.
Although, Cam’ron finally landed a verse on the “One For Peedi Crakk” remix alongside Beanie and his Dipset working mate Juelz Santana.
