Jane Fonda has revealed that the enduring slapping scene in Monster-in-Law was heated each on- and off-screen, with the actress claiming her skin was damaged in actual life during the play combat.
Fonda, 85, shared a behind-the-scenes tidbit on The Drew Barrymore Show, sharing that her co-star, Jennifer Lopez, really ended up touchdown a blow on Fonda’s eyebrow.
“Well Jennifer – as per Jennifer – she had this enormous diamond ring and so when she slapped me one of the times, it cut open across my eye, my eyebrow,” she recalled.

“You know, she’s never apologised,” she then quipped with an incredulous expression as viewers members reacted with laughs and gasps.
