What’s the story behind the story? What impressed you to put in writing SINS: The Debt?

In the sooner books within the collection, Smoke D’Angelo is a ruthless mafia kingpin. Between the disappearance of his father and the brutal assault of his sister, he gave up all the pieces to guard his household–even his humanity. I wished Smoke to have a second likelihood at love.
