“’Charmer’ was made as a trauma response,” Godlands explained in a press statement shared with EDM.com. “I had simply completed celebrating my birthday in Bali with a bunch of mates and my mum. We have been nearly to get on the airplane dwelling earlier than my mum collapsed in the airport.”
“I took her straight to hospital and it turned out she had a parasite and COVID,” she continued. “My mum and I needed to spend per week longer in Bali whereas she recovered. This music was made whereas she was recovering, and I consider I made this simply to precise my emotions. It was an especially irritating and emotionally-charged week seeing my mum undergo such immense ache and seeing her so sick.”
