During an unique Veeps livestream Preparing Music for Concerts, Foo Fighters revealed their new drummer, good friend and session musician Josh Freese.
The information comes forward of the band’s huge tour which is ready to kick off May 24 in New Hampshire and would be the first with out Taylor Hawkins, who died final March.

Since his tragic dying, the band has remained tight-lipped about who can be recruited because the band’s new drummer. The band riffed on the secrecy surrounding the id of the new drummer initially of the reside stream whereas they have been prepping within the rehearsal room. Three well-known rock drummers — Red Hot Chili Peppers Chad Smith, Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee, and Tool’s Danny Carey — all knocked on the door with witty traces like “Hey I got the PF Changs!” or “I groomed your poodles for you,” to which the band replied to with version of “We’ll be proper there!”
But when a voice off-camera exclaims “Um… excuse me?…Can we play a song or something?!” Freese is revealed to be behind the drum kit. It was the perfect segue into the band playing new songs from their forthcoming album But Here We Are (due June 2).
Foo Fighters: Preparing Music for Concerts is streaming exclusively via Live Nation’s Veeps platform and features “rock & roll (together with debut performances of songs from ‘But Here We Are’), unique behind the scenes footage, and some surprises.”
