Survivor has a brand new reigning champ and he’s breaking it aaaaall down!
It was a bumpy 26-day street for Season 44 Sole Survivor Yam Yam Arocho, who after simply 4 quick episodes noticed half of his tribe decimated. Despite a pre-merge tribe swap that separated him and Carolyn from their third ally Carson, Yam Yam and the Tikas spent the season neatly enjoying the center, forming robust bonds and dodging bullets and richochets because the Soka and Ratu tribes waged conflict in opposition to one another.
But as soon as he hit that Final 3 seat, nobody may cease the person’s attraction and charisma, as he defeated Heidi and Carolyn by a vote of 7-1-0. (Danny voted for Heidi to win — learn all about it in our full finale recap.)
“I’m so excited, over the moon, I cannot believe it, oh my god!” Arocho tells TVLine with a sigh of aid. When we ask about the way it felt to maintain such an enormous secret to himself (the season wrapped filming in June of 2022), he has this to say: “Have you ever had to hold going to the bathroom for 11 months? That’s how I feel.”
While we will’t fairly relate to that expertise, Yam Yam was an open guide once we spoke to him the morning after his massive win.
