Aussie actuality star turned radio host Abbie Chatfield has pulled out of co-hosting the live performance occasion Fridayz Live resulting from allegations of sexual misconduct and intimidation towards headline act Jason Derulo.
Chatfield, 28, introduced the information through a prolonged Instagram assertion shared this morning, saying the choice was her “personal stance” and she or he was “sorry to disappoint anyone who was excited” to see her on the Australia-wide occasion.
“Hi everyone. “At this time, there is an active lawsuit involving the headline act, including an allegation of sexual harassment,” Chatfield’s assertion continued.
“While these are presently allegations and there has been no resolution in court, I personally don’t feel comfortable performing my duties as co-host while these legal matters are outstanding.
“This is my private stance and I’ve determined to take away myself from the lineup.”

Chatfield concluded: “I’m sorry to disappoint anybody who was excited to return and see me at Fridayz Live this 12 months. I want the opposite acts on the lineup the best possible for his or her exhibits and am disenchanted I can not be there.”
Chatfield was set to co-host the country-wide RnB and hip-hop tour with Fatman Scoop, with the first show kicking off in Melbourne on November 10.
Tour organiser Frontier Touring has no further comment on the matter aside from their public statement issued this morning saying Chatfield, due to “private causes”, is “now not accessible” to co-host the tour.

A lawsuit against Derulo, 34, was filed by aspiring singer Emaza Gibson in Los Angeles on October 5.
Gibson, who is suing Derulo for sexual misconduct and intimidation, claims she was dropped from Derulo’s label after she rejected his advances.
One day after news of the lawsuit broke, Derulo issued a denial via a video message posted to his official Instagram page.

”I would not usually remark however these claims are utterly false and hurtful,” Derulo said in the video.
“I stand towards all varieties of harassment, and I stay supportive of anyone following their goals.
“I’ve always strived to live my life in a positively impactful way, and that’s why I sit here before you deeply offended by these defamatory claims. God bless.”

Gibson’s authorized workforce shortly issued a response through a press release, with lawyer Ron Zambrano saying of Derulo’s video: “If Derulo truly remained supportive of anyone following their dreams, he would acknowledge the pain and suffering he caused Emaza and aim to be a better person.”
“He should be offended by these allegations, as should everyone, including his fans. Emaza is certainly offended by his dismissive attitude. The entire music industry is due for a #MeToo movement.
