Angelina Jolie‘s wine biz simply filed new courtroom paperwork of their ongoing battle towards her ex-husband Brad Pitt — and the attorneys who wrote this submitting deserve a PhD in shade!!
Nouvel is in the midst of a $350 million lawsuit towards the Seven actor and a few of his enterprise companions relating to allegedly sketchy enterprise practices involving Chateau Miraval. That winery, as Perezcious readers will recall, is within the picturesque Provence area of the South of France. It was first bought by Jolie and Pitt greater than a decade in the past, and set as much as be their wine-making property — desires that every one got here tumbling down when the couple infamously divorced.

Well, now Nouvel is happening the offensive. Like, actually offensive.
Nouvel filed new paperwork associated to the lawsuit with a California courtroom late on Friday. In the docs, which have been obtained by a number of shops since, the corporate slams Pitt and his companions for “increasingly outrageous actions to retain control” of Miraval from Jolie. But that’s not even the great half. That’s simply, like, backyard selection (er, winery selection) authorized wrangling. The good s**t comes subsequent!
Nouvel’s attorneys additionally brazenly accused Pitt of being, effectively, a cash pit when it got here to the winery enterprise. They declare the 59-year-old actor “looted” the wine outpost by spending thousands and thousands of {dollars} on self-importance initiatives together with swimming pool renovations, a recording studio restoration, and extra:
“Pitt wasted the company’s assets, spending millions on vanity projects, including more than $1 million on swimming pool renovations, building and rebuilding a staircase four times, and spending millions to restore a recording studio.”
This man supposedly rebuilt a staircase FOUR TIMES?!?! How dangerous was it after the primary three??
The monetary mismanagement supposedly actually escalated a couple of years in the past after Jolie bought the biz to Stoli Group. That Russian agency, based by Yuri Shefler, purchased out Jolie’s curiosity in Chateau Miraval again in 2021. But in response to Nouvel’s newly-filed courtroom claims, Pitt wasn’t down with the sale.
The attorneys referred to as Pitt “a petulant child” in these new docs:
“Incensed that Jolie sold Nouvel to Stoli rather than him, Pitt has acted like a petulant child, refusing to treat Nouvel as an equal partner in the business.”
Yikes!
And they freely criticize the Ad Astra actor for what they imagine was an excessive amount of of a concentrate on his Hollywood work and never practically sufficient consideration paid to the wine world:
“During the years that he allegedly ‘built’ the business, he filmed and appeared in dozens of movies, not to mention making countless promotional appearances, jetting-setting [sic] around the world for movie premieres, and attending Hollywood parties.”
Now, that half issues — at the least so far as Pitt’s public persona and fame is anxious — as a result of the actor has talked a BIG sport about changing into a legit winemaker.

Back in 2014, Pitt famously spoke to Wine Spectator for a bit about Chateau Miraval. In that interview, the Oklahoma-born star boldly asserted “I’m a farmer now”:
“I love learning about the land and which field is most suitable for which grape, the drama of September and October: Are we picking today? Where are the sugar levels? How is the acidity? Is it going to rain? It’s been a schooling for me. … I enjoy cleaning the forest and walking the land.”
Yeahhh, effectively, Nouvel now just about says that was all bulls**t!
In their Friday afternoon submitting, Jolie’s firm pushed again on the thought of Pitt’s almost-decade-old claims about being a wine professional. Instead, Nouvel’s attorneys declare, the A-lister was filled with crap:
“While he no doubt visited the vineyards to admire the work of the French laborers who actually made the business successful, Pitt is no vigneron.”
And to wrap all of it up, they supplied this cash quote as a better:
“Pitt is an actor, not a winemaker. He deals in illusions, not dirt and grapes.”
OUCH!
Per the Financial Times, Pitt’s attorneys declined to remark; later, the Sunday Times famous a rep for the Oscar-winning actor “vehemently denied the allegations.”
And so the heavyweight authorized bout will little question maintain going, y’all. Still, this spherical of courtroom submitting shade was positively definitely worth the proverbial value of admission! DAMN! Reactions??
