For the previous three months, the 2 Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts have been closely anticipated by followers, pals, household and the rock music world at giant. Unsurprisingly, final night time (Sept. 3)’s first live performance – at London’s Wembley Stadium – was a monumental success, with its myriad artists offering loads of touching recollections and terrific music over the course of a number of hours. In truth, quite a few artists and followers took to social media to share simply how shifting and pleasurable the occasion was.
For occasion, glam rock troupe The Darkness – whose personal Justin Hawkins joined Wolfgang Van Halen, Josh Freese and Dave Grohl for Van Halen’s “On Fire” and “Hot for Teacher” – tweeted that it was “an unforgettable night.”
Plus, famed percussionist Mike Portnoy posted his enthusiastic ideas – and a photograph with Hawkins – to Facebook, calling it “an unbelievable, touching tribute to a guy who was so loved by so many.”
Similarly, rising drummer Nandi Bushell tweeted: “It was the greatest honour of my life to have been asked to play [it]. . . . I gave it everything I had. Thank you @foofighters for inviting me.”
Naturally, tons of – if not 1000’s – of Foo Fighters followers shared their ardour for the efficiency(s) throughout a number of social media platforms, too. You can see a pattern of that under.
