Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, higher generally known as Joeboy, has responded to the copyright infringement discover that the Grammy-winning singer Asa despatched to him.
Joeboy‘s music “Contour,” which was created by grasp beat maker Tempoe, was launched in August 2022.
A copyright infringement discover was given to Joeboy just a few weeks after the music’s debut.
According to the discover, “Contour” infringed on the copyright of a musical composition which was created by Asa in a recording session which passed off on September 22, 2020, with Tempoe in attendance at that mentioned session.
The discover, which was served on September thirtieth, 2022, demanded that Joeboy removes the music from all digital platforms inside twenty-four hours, situation a written apology, pay N300 million, and assign Asa a sixty-percent publishing cut up.
Joeboy refused to conform and he took to Instagram to share the discover whereas daring Asa to behave.
He wrote:-
“Cos I dey always do love and light you think sey I be soft meat.”
He added:-
“You said I have 24 hours, it’s been 48hours, do something.”
