Popular Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor higher referred to as Rema has revealed that he deserted his admission into the University of Lagos final 12 months as a result of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike.
Recall that Rema introduced in January 2022 that he gained admission to meet his mum’s need for him to finish his training.
However, a month into his admission, ASUU went on an eight-month lengthy strike that introduced educational actions to a halt.
In an interview with iHeartRadio, Rema defined that he needed to bail on the admission as a result of the college went on strike that was going to have an effect on his plan.
He stated he had been planning on juggle education and touring, however the strike got here to make it awkward.
“I got admission last year but I bailed on it because the school went on strike. All school went on strike in Nigeria. I wanted to really strategize schooling and touring. The whole strike made it awkward. It was like glitches,” he stated.
