Stoke City have finalised the signing of centre-back Axel Tuanzebe on loan from Manchester United.
Tuanzebe, who spent final season on loan with Napoli, didn’t make a single look throughout the first half of the marketing campaign.
The 25-year-old has now moved to Stoke on loan, filling the void left by Harry Souttar’s transfer to Leicester City.
The loan is Tuanzebe’s fifth since his emergence from the United academy, three of which had been with Aston Villa earlier than final season’s transfer to Naples.
Speaking concerning the signing, membership supervisor Alex Neil stated: “It was important that we added to our defensive resources and Axel is a player who knows the Championship and is keen to test himself at this level again.”
With his United contract set to run out on the finish of the season, Tuanzebe seems to have performed his closing sport for the Red Devils.
Tuanzebe has managed 37 appearances for his boyhood membership, 19 of which got here within the 2020/21 season. The defender has not represented United since his four-minute cameo on the finish of the Europa League closing defeat to Villarreal.
He will now try to reignite his profession with Stoke, who discover themselves 18th within the Championship.
