Today, beabadoobee has returned with a new single, “the way things go,” that may transport you proper into the ornate, magnificence of a Renaissance portray. The ethereal, twinkling observe showcases the softer aspect of the alt-pop singer, with breezing vocals and woodland instrumentals. This is her first launch since her Clairo-featured single “Glue Song”’ this April.
The single’s video, directed by Jacob Erland, is straight out of a Victorian-era parlor room, with candelabras, gilded frames, flowers, oil work, and dollhouses. The Filipina-English singer is wearing a black ballet costume, surrounded by a troupe of ballerinas in white. The easy choreography is consistent with the somber, delicate tune composition.

Last month, beabadoobee introduced the cancellation of her upcoming run of European tour dates after falling sick. But the Beatopia tour is kicking again up later this month in New York and can proceed by means of the autumn, together with stops at music festivals like Outside Lands and Lollapalooza.
