MGM Studios has launched a behind the scenes trailer for George Clooney’s subsequent movie mission, The Boys in the Boat. This is our first take a look at the movie and the story that Clooney is seeking to inform.
The movie is sports activities drama primarily based on the NY Times bestselling non-fiction novel written by Daniel James Brown. The film is about “the 1936 University of Washington rowing team that competed for gold at the Summer Olympics in Berlin. This inspirational true story follows a group of underdogs at the height of the Great Depression as they are thrust into the spotlight and take on elite rivals from around the world.”
Clooney defined, “The stakes were much higher for them… and it gave them an edge. That you can pull yourself up from nothing and succeed.”
I take pleasure in a great sports activities drama and underdog story, and this one seems prefer it’ll be an incredible movie. The film stars Joel Edgerton and Callum Turner, with Jack Mulhern, Sam Strike, Peter Guinness, Alec Newman, Luke Slattery, Thomas Elms, Tom Varey, and Bruce Herbelin-Earle.
Clooney directed the movie and MGM will debut The Boys in the Boat in theaters on December twenty fifth, 2023.
