Ben Stiller is starring in a brand new movie titled Nutcrackers for director David Gordon Green. This is the primary movie that Stiller has starred in in six years, and it’s the primary film that Green has made that isn’t a horror movie since Halloween in 2018. The final movie he made was Exorcist: Believer, which was an enormous disappointment. He has directed episodes of TV reveals in between horror movies, although.
Nutcrackers is presently in manufacturing in Ohio, and the story follows “the work-obsessed Mike (Stiller), who must reluctantly travel to rural Ohio to look after his four rambunctious nephews after their parents die in a car accident. What begins as a three-day trip to find foster care turns into weeks of farm-life mayhem – and the realization that he doesn’t need to find them a home, they’ve found one for him.”
That feels like that is going to be a candy and uplifting film and an ideal mission for Stiller and Green to staff up on. I’ve little question that they’ll ship an ideal movie.
The script for the movie comes from Leland Douglas (Call of the Wild) and it was developed by Rough House. Stiller can also be a producer on the film.
