Blink-182 has been forced to cancel the first leg of their extremely anticipated reunion tour due to drummer Travis Barker‘s horror finger injury.
The band’s lead singer Tom DeLonge introduced the information in a video on Instagram, calling Barker’s injury a “freak accident that nobody saw coming”.
The video comes after Barker, 47, introduced he injured his finger on February 8, after he “smashed” it throughout rehearsals, dislocating it and tearing the ligaments.
In a video shared later, Barker shared footage of somebody popping his finger again into place, in addition to photographs of the injury.

Following the information, the band has had to reschedule exhibits in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay and Peru, however Delonge has assured followers they may nonetheless “do all that in 2024.”
“I’m so sorry to everyone in South America that we couldn’t be down there,” he stated.
“This has been something we’ve been aiming to do for so long, and we worked so hard, and we just had one of those freak accidents that nobody saw coming.
“Travis wants to go in and have surgical procedure on his finger, and we’ve got to get that nicely. We have to get that sturdy earlier than we will do the rest.”

In October, Barker, DeLonge and Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 confirmed they would be going on tour together for the first time since DeLonge exited the group in 2015.
The band is slated to do a world tour, travelling around the US from May to July this year, and then to Melbourne before heading to Glasgow for the European leg of the tour.
DeLonge insisted the the band was devastated to be missing out on visiting South American.
“These are some of crucial locations on the earth for a band. This is like the top of our profession… coming down and enjoying for you guys. So I really need you all to know that we’re devastated, and we plan to come again. … I really need you to know, from my coronary heart to yours, how essential you guys are to us,” he said.

Barker went into surgery for his finger on Tuesday, but has weeks of rehabilitation ahead of him. The event follows multiple other finger injuries experienced by the drummer, as well as his troubling health scare last June.
It was later revealed the drummer had suffered from a bout of pancreatitis, which can be life-threatening.
