Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has reportedly left her document label, EeZee Concepts, over a contract disagreement with the label’s proprietor, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu Thankgod.
The 32-year-old singer shared a cryptic message on Instagram, saying,
“God protect us from people who are being strategic with us while we are being genuine with them.”
Fellow gospel singer Joepraize and Chioma Jesus confirmed help for Mercy within the remark part.
Mercy Chinwo was signed to EeZee Concepts in 2017 after profitable Nigerian Idol season two in 2012. Her breakthrough got here in 2018 with the track “Excess Love.” Other gospel artists signed to the label embrace Judikay, Chidinma Ekile, Minister GUC, Chris Morgan, and Tobi Godwin. Mercy not too long ago acquired married to Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa of Water Brooks Church in Port Harcourt.
It has been reported that Mercy Chinwo signed a faux contract with EeZee Concepts, resulting in the disagreement between her and the label proprietor. All offers have reportedly been taken down in consequence.
MY OPINION:
It appears to me that the husband might have steered that she terminate the contract and turn out to be an impartial artist, to allow them to hold all of the earnings. After all, she has already gained reputation and recognition. As for the faux contract problem, realizing it after six years, sounds humorous. All I see is GREED.
