The crescent moon, signifying the start of the Holy month of Ramadan, has been sighted in Saudi Arabia.
The moon was noticed on Sunday night.
This means March 10 is the final day of the month of Sha’ban and the Holy Month will start on Monday, March 11.
Ramadan, decided by the lunar Islamic calendar by which months span both 29 or 30 days, commences and concludes based mostly on the sighting of the crescent moon.
Saudi Arabian authorities had earlier known as on Muslims to sight the crescent for the graduation of the Ramadan.
The Supreme Court had known as on whoever sighted the crescent to report back to the closest court docket and register their remark.
Australia, Malaysia, Philippines and Brunei have introduced March 12 as the start of Ramadan.
