Brett Favre is dragging Pat McAfee and Shannon Sharpe to court docket … suing the ultra-popular sports activities analysts after he says they made feedback about him that had been false and defamatory.
Favre filed the lawsuits earlier this week in Mississippi — naming state auditor Shad White as a defendant in one of many fits as effectively.
The Green Bay Packers legend claims within the fits all three defamed him when speaking about his alleged function in a welfare funds scandal in Mississippi.
Favre stated McAfee made a few of the remarks on his podcast, alleging the previous NFL punter stated the ex-QB was “stealing from poor people in Mississippi.”
The Hall of Famer claimed Sharpe muttered defamatory feedback on his FS1 present — when he stated Sharpe known as Favre a “sorry mofo to steal from the lowest of the low.”
As for White, Favre says the Mississippi official has “shamelessly and falsely” attacked him for months “in a brazen attempt to leverage the media attention generated by Favre’s celebrity to further his own political career.”
FYI, White and his workplace had been those who initially found the alleged misuse of welfare funds, claiming over $70 million supposed to go towards the needy in Miss. really went elsewhere — together with to Favre in addition to initiatives carefully related to the Hall of Famer.
Favre, although, has denied any wrongdoing within the case … insisting again in September, “I have done nothing wrong.”
Favre is suing the trio for unspecified damages.
A spokesman for the State Auditor’s workplace stated Thursday in response to the fits that “everything Auditor White has said about this case is true and is backed by years of audit work by the professionals at the Office of the State Auditor.”
McAfee tweeted a Dave Chapelle gif in response to the fits. Sharpe, in the meantime, has but to touch upon all of it.
