Britney Spears has taken to Instagram to squash rumours that she’s engaged on a new album.
“Just so we’re clear most of the news is trash!!! They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album… I will never return to the music industry!!!” the 42-year-old pop famous person wrote in an Instagram publish.
This week, headlines have been revealed claiming that Spears‘ group is “assembling songwriters” to work on what will be her tenth album, together with Charli XCX.

However, Spears revealed within the caption that she continues to be writing music – simply not for herself.
“When I write, I write for fun or I write for other people!!!” she elaborated. “For those of you who have read my book, there’s loads you don’t know about me…”
The Womanizer singer added that previously two years, she’s written over 20 songs for different artists.
“I’m a ghostwriter and I honestly enjoy it that way!!!” she added in her caption.
The picture accompanying her message is a medieval-style art work exhibiting a girl holding a platter with a person’s head on it.

The singer went on to deal with different rumours that her latest memoir, The Woman In Me, was launched with out her say-so.
“People are also saying MY BOOK WAS RELEASED WITHOUT MY APPROVAL ILLEGALLY and that’s far from the truth… have you read the news these days??? I’m so LOVED and blessed!!!,” Spears wrote.
Page Six and Rolling Stone each reported independently that Charli XCX and Julia Michaels had signed on to assist Spears create materials for an upcoming album.
“As of right now, she’s not actively in recording but they’re getting [songs] done to present to her,” an insider reportedly informed Rolling Stone. “Nothing is cemented or in stone.”

Michaels beforehand labored with Spears on her 2016 album Glory, and has written for different stars together with Kelly Clarkson, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, and Ed Sheeran.
Since Spears’ conservatorship led to 2021, she has launched two songs: Hold Me Closer, a 2022 duet with Elton John, and Mind Your Business, a collaboration with will.i.am, recorded in 2013 and launched final 12 months.
