There’s a brand new Evil Dead film coming to theaters subsequent month referred to as Evil Dead Rise. It incorporates many of the hallmarks of this basic horror franchise: A Book of the Dead that reanimates evil spirits, and loads of gory particular results. But it doesn’t have Bruce Campbell’s Ash, the hero of the unique Evil Dead trilogy of films, together with the sequel TV sequence Ash vs. Evil Dead, which aired on Starz from 2015 to 2018.
Campbell mentioned on the time of the Ash vs Evil Dead sequence finale that he was retired from taking part in Ash once more. But he’s concerned with Evil Dead Rise as an govt producer, and so he’s doing interviews for the film round its premiere on the South By Southwest Film Festival. And in one of many interviews, he mentioned he would make one other Evil Dead as Ash … however provided that Sam Raimi returned to direct it.

If Sam says, ‘I, Sam Raimi, will direct another Evil Dead movie,’ then I, Bruce Campbell, will contemplate being in it. I don’t wish to be Ash, tended to by different folks. Sam’s the meanest director I’ve ever labored with, and Ash wants slightly little bit of that to shine. And I believe Sam’s the one director now who I received’t punch within the face making an Evil Dead film! I’m simply saying, I’ve referred to as Rob and Sam out, I’m not the coward that they assume I’m; I simply need the precise circumstances.
