Afrobeats stars, Burna Boy and Fireboy DML made Nigeria proud on the BMI London Awards 2023.
The duo was among the many recipients of the ‘Most Performed Work of the Year’ awards which had been introduced to over 20 songs.
Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’ and Fireboy’s ‘Peru’ with British singer, Ed Sheeran made the lower.
Meanwhile, one other Nigerian report producer, Richard Isong, aka P2J, received the ‘Impact Award.’
British legend, Gary Kemp received the ‘Icon Award’ whereas American singer Doja Cat’s afrobeat-themed tune, ‘Woman’, received the ‘Song of the Year’ award.
