Canadian radio host claims Mike Myers fired him from set over a bizarre rule

Canadian radio host Jay Brody has revealed that whereas engaged on the set of hit movie Love Guru he was fired by Mike Myers for “making eye contact with him”.

Speaking on Carly & Jay the ex-security guard alleged that the award profitable actor fired him on the spot after locking eyes.

“Mike Myers had me fired off the set of The Love Guru because I made eye contact with him – and I was there as his bodyguard!”

Brody defined that he labored as a safety guard assigned to a taking pictures location in downtown Toronto.

He claimed that he had obtained a warning on the time in regards to the Austin Powers star. Brody had been instructed “You can’t look at him,” though Myers was “going to be in a wig and prosthetics.”

Myers apparently appeared in costume on Brody’s first day, and “First hour I’m there… I don’t know what he looks like yet, so I just see a man approaching, long hair, thick beard, and I think, ‘That’s Mike Myers.’ I look down, to not look at him… but I realise you can’t just let anyone into the trailer, so I look up and I catch his eye for a second,” he mentioned.

Then, “within an hour, I get a phone call letting me know I’m fired and I have to get off the set,” Brody claims.

Brody mentioned Myers “never said anything to me personally.”

The host was responding to a tweet that was applauding Keanu Reeves for serving to workers transfer gear on the set of John Wick 4.

Many responded that he should not be praised for serving to out however Brody chimed in highlighting the brutal nature of working in movie.

“People saying that ‘he shouldn’t be praised for helping’ have no idea what it’s like working in film,” he mentioned.

“Mike Myers had be fired off the set of ‘The Love Guru’ because I made eye contact with him, and I was there as his body guard… Give Keanu his roses.”
