This is horrific!
We had been shocked in 2018 when Cassie and Diddy broke up after a whole decade collectively. We thought we had been seeing heartbreak — seems it was extra of a jailbreak?!
In a stunning lawsuit filed on Thursday, Cassie is now claiming these ten years had been stuffed with all types of mistreatment by the music mogul — a “cycle of abuse, violence and sex trafficking.” In a press release, Cassie, actual title Casandra Ventura, declared:
“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships. With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act fast approaching, it became clear that this was an opportunity to speak up about the trauma I have experienced and that I will be recovering from for the rest of my life.”
The lawsuit, first reported in The New York Times and later confirmed by a number of retailers, accuses Diddy of signing the singer to his Bad Boy Records after assembly her when she was simply 19 and all too susceptible — and utilizing that place over her to slowly assume “complete control” over her life.
Cassie claims she solely agreed to exit with him within the first place, again in 2007, as a result of she feared retaliation if she refused. She says Diddy plied her with “copious amounts of drugs” — getting her addicted and beginning an issue that proceed for years. He additionally began paying for her automotive and housing, that means she was completely reliant on him. That made it inconceivable to go away when he started bodily abusing her.

The go well with says Diddy “frequently beat Ms. Ventura savagely” — usually witnessed by his different workers, who by no means “dared to speak up against their frightening and ferocious boss”. No one within the exterior world would see the outcomes of those beatings as a result of Diddy would cover her in “hotels for days at a time to let her bruises heal,” claims the go well with. In one 2009 incident described within the authorized doc, the All About The Benjamins rapper stomped on Cassie’s face — then put her in a lodge room for every week.
The Long Way 2 Go singer says, like many abuse victims, she “found herself becoming numb to the abuse she was experiencing, and became entirely beholden to Mr. Combs’s demands”:
“She began to blindly follow his instructions out of fear of again being on the receiving end of a vicious beating.”
She says these directions included what he referred to as “freak offs” — drug-fueled sexual encounters by which she could be compelled to have intercourse with varied male prostitutes. Allegedly, Diddy would movie these encounters and pleasure himself.
This was not one thing she wished to consent to — she even says she would ceaselessly vomit beforehand out of tension. But she was afraid to go away. And for good cause, apparently!
She claims in 2011 she briefly began a relationship with Kid Cudi. When Diddy came upon he “hit her several times, and then kicked her in the back as she tried to run out the door.” The subsequent yr, he informed her that in retaliation he was going to explode Cudi’s automotive. The scariest half? Kid Cudi’s automotive did explode in his driveway round that point! Did Diddy attempt to homicide Kid Cudi?!
Even when Cassie bought the braveness to go away, she says, Diddy was in a position to get her again utilizing his energy:
“Over the years that Mr. Combs abused Ms. Ventura physically and sexually, she again and again tried to escape his tight hold over her life. Every time she hid, Mr. Combs’s vast network of corporations and affiliated entities found her, and those who worked for Mr. Combs’s companies implored her to return to him.”
She actually is describing being a prisoner!

When she was prepared to go away for good, that’s when issues hit bought their worst. She says in September 2018 she met Diddy for dinner “for what she believed would be a discussion about concluding their relationship for good.” But after they went again to her residence, she says, the Sean John founder “forced himself into her apartment” and began kissing her. Per the go well with:
“She told him to stop and attempted to push him away. Mr. Combs then forcibly pulled off Ms. Ventura’s clothing and unbuckled his belt. He proceeded to rape Ms. Ventura while she repeatedly said ‘no’ and tried to push him away.”
JFC.
In a press release to People, Diddy’s lawyer attests:
“Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. Ms. Ventura’s demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’ reputation, and seeking a pay day.”
Cassie’s legal professional Douglas Wigdor stated Diddy is making an attempt to flip the reality round:
“Mr. Comb’s offered Ms. Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit. She rejected his efforts and decided to give a voice to all woman who suffer in silence. Ms. Ventura should be applauded for her bravery.”
Thankfully it’s over now. Cassie did depart and, in 2019, married coach Alex Fine. But all will not be nicely for her. The go well with says:
“Ms. Ventura has now fully escaped Mr. Combs, but the harm that the assaults and sexual abuse he caused her to experience for nearly a decade will forever haunt her. She has required intensive medical and psychological care to recover from the trauma she lived through.”
This is all so horrible. And if there actually had been witnesses to the abuse, we hope they’ll comply with Cassie’s lead and summon the braveness to come back ahead and inform the reality.
