Charleston White has more and more grow to be identified for his controversial takes on present affairs.
Last month, he made headlines when he rehashed previous rumors surrounding Lil Durk and King Von, claiming that the OTF chief “snitched” on the late drill rapper.
“He [Von] was killed tryna harm a n-gga smaller than him!” he stated. “And we gon’ shame Timmy? We don’t shame Durk! Durk beat the case, and puttin’ it on Von! Snitched on his dead potna! C’mon my n-gga! See, Durk wasn’t no killer! Von was!”
He continued: “Rest of them n-ggas wasn’t. They’re singin’ and rappin’. The rest of these n-ggas that singin’ and rappin’ wasn’t no killers! We know for a fact he was. We all know for a fact that the reason King Von was released from jail to become a big star was because the witnesses turned up dead.”
White appears to have been referring to an incident which occurred in 2019. In May of that 12 months, Durk (actual identify Durk Banks) turned himself in to the police after a warrant was issued for his arrest in reference to a February 2019 taking pictures outdoors of the Atlanta restaurant The Varsity.
The Chicago rapper and fellow OTF member King Von — who was killed in November 2020 — have been charged with prison try to commit homicide, in addition to aggravated assault, participation in prison road gang exercise, possession of firearm throughout the fee of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
But on October 22 of that 12 months, the costs in opposition to Durk and the late Von have been dropped on account of “prosecutorial discretion,” based on WSB-TV.
In a Dismissal of Charges Motion issued by Georgia’s Superior Court of Fulton County, District Attorney Fani Willis stated: “The facts of this case have been reviewed and, although it appears that probable cause existed for the defendant’s arrest, the decision of the District Attorney at this time is not to prosecute.”
