The new, animated Garfield film is due in theaters on May 24.
Sony Pictures Animation has launched the primary trailer for The Garfield Movie, the upcoming, animated adaptation of Jim Davis’s long-running cartoon. The new trailer offers the most effective sense but for the story of the film, which apparently facilities on Garfield’s father coming again after years away, just for the fats orange cat to study that his father has turn into blended up with some very harmful individuals…err, cats.
Besides Pratt, The Garfield Movie contains a star-studded voice forged that features Samuel L. Jackson, Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillén, Brett Goldstein, and Bowen Yang.

Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild out of doors journey! After an surprising reunion together with his long-lost father – scruffy avenue cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine pal Odie are pressured from their completely pampered life into becoming a member of Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
The Garfield Movie is directed by Mark Dindal (The Emperor’s New Groove), from a screenplay by Paul A. Kaplan & Mark Torgove (Raising Hope) and David Reynolds (Finding Nemo).
