Aston Villa have introduced that Christian Purslow is to step down from his function as chief executive after 5 years on the membership.
Purslow joined Villa in September 2018, shortly after homeowners Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris took over at Villa Park with the membership within the Championship.
Villa at the moment are established again within the Premier League and certified for the Europa Conference League subsequent season.
In a press release on the membership’s web site, Purslow mentioned: “It has been a complete privilege to lead Villa for the final 5 years.
“I’m proud that I depart the membership in a significantly better place on and off the pitch than once I arrived.
“We are re-established within the Premier League, we now have a really aggressive skilled girls’s staff, we have now excellent academies for girls and boys, we have now created a world-class coaching floor and secured planning permission for an enlargement and modernisation of our fantastic stadium.
“Thank you to everyone at Villa and our supporters who have made my time here so enjoyable.”
Edens and Sawiris added: “We would really like to thank Christian for his excellent management of the membership over the past 5 seasons.
“He has overseen a transformation of the club both on and off the pitch and delivered the ambitious turnaround plan he presented to us when he arrived in 2018. We are grateful for all he has done.”
