Christina Applegate slams Candace Owens for rant about a disabled model

Actress Christina Applegate has referred to as out American conservative creator Candace Owens for ableism.

Earlier this week, the speak present host commented on an 11-month-old Skims advert marketing campaign that featured a model in a wheelchair, calling it “ridiculous”.

The marketing campaign was for Kim Kardashian’s ‘Adaptive’ assortment, which options accessible underwear with hook and eye closures for accessibility. The marketing campaign featured a vary of disabled individuals modelling the clothes.

Owens, who spoke on her podcast, ’The Daily Wire’ mentioned, “I don’t know why this needs to be done. I’m just getting tired of this all-inclusivity thing. It seems ridiculous.”

She added that she assumed disabled individuals must purchase bras and underwear.

“I assumed it was a thing,” Owens says. “I didn’t know that we had to see that in our face, I didn’t know that now we’re gonna have to look forward to campaigns where women that are in wheelchairs are now wearing bras and underwear,” she mentioned.

After listening to Owen’s feedback on the Skims marketing campaign, Applegate addressed the controversial host in a tweet.

”Going to try and sleep but my rage is keeping me awake,” she started. “Candace Owens, do you know when you have seen pictures of me how f–king hard it was to get my clothes on? A team has to help me!!! So I’m excited for accessibility clothing for me and my community,” she wrote in a Twitter submit.

She later tweeted, “I thought my last tweet was enough. But then my heart said something else. No rage. If Candace wants to get on the phone with me to be educated on being disabled. I will not come with anger. I will come with love. Because she needs to hear that. I pray for her tonight. sincerely.”

Owens responded to Applegate with the under tweet.
