SYDNEY, Australia — Coachella CEO Paul Tollett, futurist Amy Webb and Slack co-founder Cal Henderson are among the many visitor audio system becoming a member of the inaugural SXSW Sydney, a week-long business powwow, get together, and seat of studying, set for this October.
Joining the 700-strong audio system lineup is style icon Tan France, alongside beforehand introduced friends together with Chris Lee, a.okay.a. Sung-su Lee, chief A&R officer and former CEO of SM Entertainment, the large Okay-pop company; Per Sundin, the Swedish CEO of Pophouse Entertainment; a number of world browsing champion Layne Beachley and plenty of extra.
Tollett will take part in a “fireside chat,” says Claire Collins, head of music for SXSW. “We’re going to learn about his history, the history of the event and how it became the most influential event in the world, the challenges and the future,” Collins tells Billboard. “It’ll be an unmissable session.”
Organizers acquired greater than 2,500 purposes for these coveted performer spots, explains Collins, who pays tribute to the “enormous job” by the programming workforce, and singles out music competition programming director of Reginald Harris.

SXSW Sydney is a collaboration with Australian promoter TEG and the New South Wales (NSW) authorities together with its tourism company, Destination NSW.
In April 2021, it was introduced that SXSW had signed a “lifeline” take care of P-MRC, a three way partnership between Penske Media Corporation and MRC, making P-MRC a stakeholder and long-term associate with the Austin competition. P-MRC is the mother or father firm of Billboard.
