Comixology has been underneath hearth since the introduction of the 4.0 version of the service in February, which de facto subsumed the web site and app contents into the Amazon Kindle ecosystem – with disastrous outcomes. Without the Comixology web site, browser-based customers misplaced the means to learn their books seamlessly on-line as the Kindle internet reader was not practically so superior.
In the summer time a beta model of the Kindle for Web Reader was unveiled restoring a few of the primary Comixology options browser customers had grown accustomed to comparable to double web page spreads and vertical scroll however missing the much-hailed guided view performance, saying at the time: “We know Guided View is a critical part of the web reading experience – we’re working hard on it and plan to launch it later this year.” The look forward to guided view is now over – six months later.
Of course, given the PR nightmare that has been 4.0 – reactions stay blended.
One extra step in the direction of being again to the place we had been earlier than February 2022.
