One of the many first-party video games that had been launched on the Nintendo Switch this 12 months was Detective Pikachu Returns, a sequel to the sport that launched on the 3DS years in the past. Detective Pikachu Returns has been out for just a little over 2 months now, so consideration has been turning to Detective Pikachu’s future.
So, it’s no shock that the subject was mentioned in a Famitsu interview with government producer Tsunekazu Ishihara author Hiroyuki Jinnai that was translated to English by Nintendo Everything. Jinnai stated that “the story of Tim, Pikachu and Harry will come to a close. However, since everyone in the staff loves this talking middle-aged Pikachu, there could be other developments following different threads…?”
Meanwhile, Ishihara stated that “we can’t promise anything at this point in time, but if Detective Pikachu Returns is received well and there’s a huge demand from the people, there could be room for more spin-offs as such”. It appears that there’s no future sport deliberate at the second, however they do appear to be open for one in the future.
