This is a little bit of a shock from Dev Patel: He doesn’t simply star in his newest film; he co-wrote it and directed himself as properly. And it’s an intense revenge thriller that positively evokes the model of a John Wick. Based on the movie’s first trailer, it seems to be fairly promising as properly.
The venture is titled Monkey Man, supposedly impressed by “an icon embodying strength and courage” named Hanuman, Patel performs an underground fighter who units out to get revenge towards the folks he blames for the dying of his mom. Kudos to Patel for the ambition alone; that he hatched up the story himself and co-wrote the screenplay, and directed the rattling factor, along with starring in it (and clearly getting himself into fairly fine condition to beat folks up slash look superior in well-tailored fits whereas doing it). I’m down for this.
