The trailer for the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey not too long ago dropped this month — and let me inform you, I CANNOT wait to see this film!
I nonetheless have chills listening to the extremely gifted Halle singing “Part of Your World” within the teaser. And I’ve been touched by the reactions of younger Black ladies seeing themselves represented on display screen as Halle performs the primary Black Ariel.
So, whereas we anticipate this extremely anticipated remake, this is a glance again at how every Disney princess has been portrayed of their animated movie, the live-action remake, and on Broadway.
1.
