Doja Cat is clapping again at critics.
Over the weekend, the Kiss Me More singer posted an Instagram clip of herself being interviewed by her Scarlet alter-ego, whom followers have come to know as being coated from head to toe in crimson paint — a typical theme among the many visuals for her newest album of the identical identify.

However, whether or not it was the lighting, the colour grading, or simply human error, many followers accused the 28-year-old of Blackface for the character. In the clip, Scarlet requested Doja “a silly question” — “Do you appreciate the people and the fans who support your music?” Doja, in fact, has acquired flack for bad-mouthing her followers on-line over the previous few months, and so leaning into the drama, we hear her internal monologue say:
“I hate my fans”
“My fans are dumb”

But Doja wasn’t about to let that go… In response, she uploaded a Story publish of 4 pics of the Scarlet persona undeniably coloured in crimson, and wrote:
“YOU HAVE TO BE … A VERY SPECIAL KIND …. OF F**KING STUPID”
Take it for what you’ll, that is what the Scarlet persona appears to be like like with completely different lighting. And a, um, completely different selection in outfit…
