The cinematographer from Don’t Worry Darling desires to reassure everybody that there’s completely nothing to fret about in relation to these rumors of chaos behind the scenes … considerably!
By now, we’re certain everybody has heard in regards to the drama with the psychological thriller. The film has been deep in controversy for some time now – from rumors of rigidity between Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh to the spitting incident between Harry Styles and Chris Pine. (FYI, Harry didn’t spit on Chris.) Then, there was the messy state of affairs over whether or not the 38-year-old filmmaker fired Shia LaBeouf from the manufacturing as a result of his habits on set. It has been A LOT, to say the least.

For her half, Olivia has been attempting to squash the whispers in regards to the movie. The Booksmart director even praised Florence throughout the Venice Film Festival after the Marvel star arrived late and missed the press convention:
“Florence is a force, we are so grateful that she is able to make it tonight despite being in production. As for all the endless tabloid gossip and noise out there, the internet feeds itself. I don’t feel I need to contribute to it.”
Now, cinematographer Matthew Libatique is attempting to close down the drama (once more), saying it’s “completely untrue” – not less than primarily based on what he witnessed on set. The 54-year-old spilled on the newest episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Behind the Screen podcast:
“This was probably the most harmonious set I’ve ever been on. Olivia built a team that believed in her and she believed in each and everybody on the set… When I hear that there are rumors of acrimony on the set – I reject it. It wasn’t apparent at all, to be honest. From my standpoint, the stories are completely untrue when it comes to being on set.”
Sure, Jan! But if something did occur between Florence and Olivia, Matthew mentioned it should have occurred as soon as he was completed with the challenge:
“I can’t speak to post-production at all. Whatever happened, it happened way after I left … I was never witness to anything. And I didn’t feel anything. You know, you get a feeling that there might be something going on and I didn’t feel anything.”
Hmm…
